As the festive season continues in India, many new cars launch and introductions are expected in November. From the economy segment of the market which will see the launch of the all-new Celerio to the luxury segment, where Porsche will finally bring the Taycan EV to India, This will be an action-packed month for the auto industry. So here’s a list of all the new cars launching or unveiling this month.
Skoda Slavia
Skoda will introduce its new sedan the Skoda Slavia globally on November 18, 2021. This model will replace the Skoda Rapid and will be underpinned by the same MQB A0-IN platform as the Kushaq.
Multiple Spy shots and Renders were revealed online earlier, creating great curiosity among the public. Slavia will be one of the largest sedans in its segment. It will be powered by two TSI engines- a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine that produces 115 hp and a larger 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine that generates 150 hp. The Skoda Slavia is expected to go on sale by 2022 and prices may start from Rs. 10 lakhs.
Volkswagen Tiguan
The diesel-powered 5-seater SUV from Volkswagen was another vehicle to be discontinued after the introduction of BS6 emission norms. The Tiguan is making its way back to India as a petrol-only SUV. The facelifted version of Tiguan will include various styling and performance updates. New LED matrix headlights, 3 stripes chrome-plated grille, and updated 18-inch alloy wheels are part of exterior changes. Major changes are made under the hood, the new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol TSi engine can generate 190hp and 320Nm of torque. This unit will be paired to a 7-speed DCT.
Next gen Maruti Suzuki celerio
The next-gen Celerio is one of the most awaited launches of this month. The New Celerio gets a complete internal and external makeover. Updated rille, alloy wheels, new headlamps and taillamps, updated AC vents, and a 7-inch infotainment system are a few of the styling and tech updates.
The next-gen Celerio will be available in 2 engine variants, a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder and a 1.2 litre petrol engine. Both engines will be paired with a five-speed amt or manual transmission. Maruti claims that with the updated engine setup Celerio will become the most fuel-efficient hatchback in the Indian market. Bookings for the new Celerio have already started for a token amount of Rs. 11,000.
Porsche Taycan EV

The Porsche Taycan EV has been around the world since 2019 and Porsche has now decided to bring it to the Indian market. It could be the most powerful electric vehicle available in India when it goes on sale on November 12. The Taycan is expected to come in three variants, starting with the base Turbo 4S and even the full-fledged Turbo S with up to 761 hp. Porsche claims that charging the Taycan from 5%-80% should take less than 23 minutes.
Incidentally, the Taycan EV shares its foundation with the Audi E-Tron GT which was recently launched in the country. The Taycan will be sold in India as an imported CBU model, with prices expected to start at approximately Rs 2 crore.
Porsche Macan
Porsche is all set to treat India with two new cars launching this month, the other being the restyled Macan. The Macan gets minimal updates on the exterior, while the interior gets a notable update, with a revised center console that houses a 10.9-inch touchscreen and touch-sensitive controls.
The Macan will also be available in three trim levels: the entry-level 2.0-liter 265bhp model, followed by the 2.9-liter Macan S V6 engine with 380bhp, and finally the top-of-the-line GTS with the same V6 engine but with 440 hp available. The facelifted models also come with new updated sports adaptive air suspension and a reworked Porsche suspension management. This will be the last facelift of the current gasoline-powered Macan. Next-generation Macan will be an all-electric SUV.
Audi Q5 Facelift
After being discontinued due to new BS6 emission norms, the Audi Q5 is ready for its return to the Indian market. The Facelifted model of Q5 has many significant changes in both interior and exterior of the vehicle. On the Exterior the Q5 gets new full LED headlamps, a hexagonal mesh grille, larger matte black inserts for fog lamps, and New tail lights with an OLED signature. Inside the cabin, Q5 gets minor revisions like updated tech.
The new Q5 gets a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that can produce 242 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. The gasoline motor will be paired with a 7 speed s Tronic DCT automatic transmission. Audi had opened bookings for The facelifted q5 in India earlier last month however, the automaker has not announced a launch date.
Mercedes-AMG A45 S
Another exciting launch of this month is the Mercedes-AMG A45 S hatchback. The German hatchback holds the reputation of being the most powerful hot-hatch in the market. The beast is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder petrol unit that churns out 421hp and 500Nm of torque. The A45 S will come to India as a CBU model and Only a limited number of units will be sold in the country.
Mahindra XUV300 Sportz
Mahindra XUV300 was a huge success. The homegrown automaker will be launching a new variant, the XUV 300 Sportz. The new model will come with a 1.2 litre turbocharged GDI engine that can generate 130 hp and 230 Nm of torque. This update will make XUV 300 Sportz the most powerful compact SUV in the market. Mahindra is yet to announce an official date for the launch, but it is expected to happen sometime this month.
