Car manufacturers have been delaying launches due to the ongoing pandemic scenario and are slowly but surely bringing out the cars we’ve been waiting for. Here are some of the scheduled new cars that are being launched in July 2021. 

  1. MG ZS Petrol:

    The much-awaited MG Motor India’s launch as they have been working on this for quite some time now. This petrol-powered variant has been spotted testing on multiple occasions and is all ready to be launched in July this year, tentatively. Earlier showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, this car comes with two engine options i.e, a 1.5-litre VTi motor and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor with power and torque of 161 bhp and 230 Nm. It includes a 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic transmission units. Further specs and features are yet to be revealed.  

  2. Volkswagen Taigun:

    This mid-size SUV is another long-due launch that was also showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. This car will be based on the MQB-AO-IN platform which means it will be 90% localized and tailor-made to India’s audience. This car will have two engine options 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine and comes with power and torque of 150 bhp and 250 Nm which is much more powerful than the previous model of Taigun and this also gets a 6-speed manual transmission and 7-speed DSG automatic unit.

  3. Mahindra XUV 700:

    Mahindra announced its new model, the three-row SUV, XUV700 recently. This new mid-size SUV will offer a completely new exterior design with new features and a revamped cabin. It will also be longer and wider than its previous model that will be based on the returned monocoque platform. Apart from this, the model is set to offer both petrol and diesel engines, with six-speed manual and automatic transmission as an option.

  4. Hyundai New Kona:

    Hyundai’s latest tease is this new car, the first-ever Kona N-line SUV. From what information we’ve gathered, the car will be an electric SUV with a sporty and fresh design scheme. This Kona N-line SUV will be amongst its high-performance SUVs in the N-line portfolio. The car has a sleek and modern touch to it and will have a sophisticated high-end look to it, unlike its previous models.

  5. Skoda Kodiaq Petrol:

    Skoda Auto India is said to launch its new petrol model, the Kodiaq which was previously only available in diesel variant. The previous model was discontinued mainly due to BS6 norms that came into effect from April 1st. The new Skoda Kodiaq will have a 2.0 litre TSI engine with power and torque of 187 bhp and 320 Nm and also gets a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. While the features are yet to be revealed, it will be launched in three variants, the Scout, Style, and L&K.

  6. Renault City K-ZE:

    Renault is entering the electric segment with the new City K-ZE with a Kwid hatchback. This car has already entered the Chinese market this car comes with a 26.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack and has a power and torque of 44 bhp and 125 Nm. The appearance of this car as already mentioned is Kwid inspired while having a few changes on its exterior, the interior is no different from the Kwid.

  7. Hyundai Elantra:

    These new cars has undergone a lot of changes in order to impress the global markets and this new sedan will be the best in its segment. The new Hyundai is based on the K3 platform and gets a lot of updated features. This car gets a 2.0-litre inline-four petrol engine and has a power and torque of 147 bhp and 264 Nm. It is also said that the Elantra may come in a 2.0 diesel variant as well
