December is here, this means that Christmas and new year are right around the corner. Many are planning to start the new year with a brand new car. In this article, we will be looking at all the new cars launching this month.
Volkswagen Tiguan- December 7, 2021
The New Tiguan facelift will hit the Indian market soon. Tiguan will get Volkswagen’s signature styling. The SUV comes with a brand new front grille and slated air intake vents. Other updates include LED matrix headlamps and 18-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, features inside the Tiguan are- The updated cabin gets a multi-function flat-bottom steering wheel, an 8.0-inch infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, etc. Prices for the new Tiguan start from ₹26 Lakhs and go up to ₹29 lakhs (ex-showroom).
BMW iX – December 13,2021
The BMW ix would one of the most interesting new cars launching this month. BMW has decided to start their EV journey in India with their flagship EV. The BMW iX is an all-electric SUV that is based on the Vision iNext concept which was exhibited back in 2018. BMW has gone to the extent of using completely recycled materials to produce this car to make it even more sustainable. Production of the iX will be done using 100% “green electricity”. The iX will be available in 2 different variants. In fact, the High-end variant with a powerful battery pack can accelerate from 0-100 in just 6.1 seconds. The new EVs will provide a range between 425-630 kilometers. The iX can charge from 0-80% in less than 40 minutes.
Mini Cooper SE – December 13,2021

Mini SE is another addition to BMW groups India lineup. The hatchback gets similar styling as its ICE siblings. However, minor design changes like a closed front grille and lemon yellow accents are design highlights of the upcoming model. The Mini Cooper SE can provide a range of 270 kms. The hatchback comes with a 32.6 kWh battery pack. This enables the EV to generate a maximum output of 184 hp and 270 Nm of peak torque. Mini claims that the all-new Cooper SE can accelerate from 0-100 in just 7.3 seconds. Prices for the new EV will be available after its launch in India.
Kia Carens- December 16,2021
Kia will launch a 7-seater MPV that will be known as the Carens. The Korean manufacturer has been testing the SUV on the Indian roads for quite some time. This new SUV looks like Kia Seltos with a more extensive glasshouse and a lengthier wheelbase. The teaser video released by the automaker reveals bits of the car’s profile. The Carens will get an LED DRL, tail lamps with triangular lighting elements, and a light bar running across the tailgate. However, the interior styling and features will be similar to the Kia Sonet and Seltos. More information about the car regarding the engine and pricing will be available only after the launch. Although we expect the SUV to feature the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel motors available in the Seltos.
Toyota Belta- To be announced
The Toyota Belta is another rebadged car from the Japanese automaker. This sedan takes its form from Maruti’s Ciaz. Belta gets the exact same exterior styling as the Maruti Ciaz and gets the same 1.5-Litre 4-cylinder engine that can produce 103bhp and 138Nm of peak torque. A five-speed manual gearbox and a four-speed automatic gearbox are available as transmission options.
Toyota has included multiple modern features in the Belta, such as projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, 16-inch alloy wheels, a new grille, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera. Prices for the Belta start from ₹8.80 and go up to ₹11.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
