Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Celerio Launched at Rs. 4.99 lakh

Maruti Suzuki launched the Next Gen Celerio today. The Celerio was a successful hatchback by Maruti. When it first came out the unique design and Auto gear shift technology created a lot of demand for the hatchback. Maruti is now bringing back the Celerio in a new and updated form.

The new Celerio is built on the 5th generation Heartect platform and gets complete interior and exterior upgrades and a new K-series engine by the automaker. The new urban hatchback is focused on the new age hatchback customers and will offer a youthful experience.

The Nextgen Celerio gets a Major Design update. It showcases the new design language of Maruti, the 3d organic sculpted aesthetics. The car comes with a new chrome grille extending across the new LED headlamps. New bumpers, flared wheel arches, 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome trims, and updated tail lamps are other design changes.

The updated model is 3695mm long, 1555mm wide, and 1555mm tall. Moreover, the wheelbase of the new model is increased by 10 mm to 2535mm when compared to the previous generation.

The next-gen Celerio will be available in 6 different color variants- Speedy Blue, Fire Red, Silky Silver, Glistening Grey, Caffeine Brown, and Arctic White.

Inside the cabin, the next-gen Celerio comes with a center-focused design with a new sculpted dashboard and a 17.78 cm touchscreen infotainment system with Smartplay studio and smartphone navigation.24 touchpoints inside the car have been digitized. The gear knob gets a new sporty design. The instrument cluster has been replaced with a new updated design and a digital tachometer. The car has 6 bottle holders, front and rear headrests, power steering, accessory socket, manual air-conditioning vents, and has a boot space capacity that has increased by 40% and is now 313 liters.

Safety features in the new model include- ABS and EBD, Hill Hold, and Dual airbags.

Engine and Transmission

Next-Gen Maruti Celerio will be offered a new K-Series 1.0 liter engine K-10c option. This is an updated engine, which is expected to deliver enhanced performance and better fuel efficiency. The Petrol engine can generate 65hp of power and 89Nm of torque. This motor will be paired with a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. In fact, one of the most important highlights of the new Celerio is its fuel efficiency. The urban hatchback can provide 26.68Kmpl of mileage. This makes Celerio the most fuel-efficient car available in India

Pricing and variants

The pricing of the all-new Celerio starts at 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). And the new hatchback will be available in 7 different variants.
