The images of next-generation Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza have emerged online. Images of the upcoming compact SUV hint that the automaker is working to introduce a completely new Vitara Brezza in terms of exterior and interior styling.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is one of the best-selling models of the automaker in India. The first Vitara Brezza came out in 2016, then the company released a facelifted version in 2020. The Vitara Brezza was long due to get new styling and motor to compete against Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Nissan Magnite.
Next-generation Vitara Brezza: Exterior styling
The next-gen Vitara Brezza will get new body panels and sheet metal. Major design changes have been made in the front and rear of the car. However, the side profile will remain closely similar to the current version. On the front, the new Brezza gets a new flatter bonnet with chamfered edges. The headlamps come integrated with the grill and have matte black design elements in between. Also, the grille has chrome stripes on either side of a large Suzuki logo. A matte bull-bar running across the front bumper extends towards the wheel arches.

At the rear, the compact SUV gets a split taillamp with ‘BREZZA’ written in large letters across the tailgate. The rear bumper is brand-new and will have a matte black insert with silver accents on the false skid plate to give it an off-roader look.

The new Brezza will be getting a complete overhaul inside the cabin. The dashboard, instrument cluster, steering wheel, control stalks are all new. It will also include an all-new infotainment system with a free-standing touchscreen. The car will also receive connected tech and Maruti’s new digital architecture.
Engine and Transmission
Under the hood, the new model will come with a 1.5-litre gasoline motor that can produce 103 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque. A 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual gearbox is provided as transmission options. The motor will include Maruti Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid fuel-saving technology. Also, top-end variants will also get paddle shifters.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was a top-selling unit when it first came out. Although, over the years the Vitara Brezza has been overshadowed by its competitors. The new generation model will surely make help the compact SUV make a strong comeback into the Indian market. Moreover, the Upcoming model will lose the “Vitara” from its branding. It will be known as Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The Brezza will reach the Indian markets by mid-2022.
