Nissan India has announced that the brand has decided to export the Magnite to international markets like Indonesia, South Africa and Nepal. Since the production commenced for the Magnite last year in the Chennai plant, they have managed to produce 15,010 units. Out of those 15,010 units, 13,790 units were for the domestic market (Indian market) and the rest 1,220 units were exported. The company launched the sub-compact SUV in Nepal in February and has managed to gather over 760 bookings in 30 days. 

Nissan Magnite which is built on the brand’s new philosophy ‘Make in India, Make for the world’ has been received well by Indian customers. The Magnite has made its mark with its impeccable design and the latest technology it features. The company has been working on exploring more markets with its sub-compact SUV after the overwhelming response received from Nepal customers. Nissan is confident of strengthening its export which is a part of Nissan NEXT transformation plan for their sustainable growth. 

Nissan Magnite’s run in the market!

Nissan has been really working hard on making its way back to the market, it offers Kicks and cars under the Datsun badge along with the MAgnite. So the Magnite has been a make-or-break product for Nissan. Understanding the potential of the sub-compact SUV segment in India Nissan made its mark with the brilliant Magnite. The seems very practical with a sufficient amount of space inside and its SUV like properties. 

The Nissan Magnite features Automatic climate control, a Rear centre armrest, cup holders, cruise control, real-time vehicle tracking, ABS with EBD, traction control, tyre pressure monitor and more. It is offered in two engine options, a 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which makes 72bhp. And a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit which makes 100bhp. As for the transmission, both engines are offered in either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. 

The Nissan Magnite has been priced at Rs. 5.59 lakh ex-showroom. In this competitive subcompact SUV market, the Magnite goes against the Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Ford Ecosport and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
