Porsche has recently revealed a facelifted version of its iconic SUV, the Macan, for 2022. While the Porsche Macan is not undergoing a total revamp, it would get some noticeable changes to its look, interior, and engine. The most prominent exterior upgrade is the Macan’s revamped front end.
2022 Porsche Macan Updated Exterior
One of the most common reasons that attract buying a Porsche Macan is its exterior design. The 2022 Macan’s larger exterior dimensions i.e 4.696 mm long, 2.098 mm wide, and 1.626 mm tall provide a strong road appearance to a car. The facelifted version has an upgraded front appearance with body-colour bumper trim & new air vents.
In comparison to the previous edition, the car’s rear includes a black diffuser that has been expanded higher. A 3D, textured structure element has been added to the side blades. Increased Performance and More Power
The emphasis on performance is another key feature of the Macan’s popularity. Porsche is offering more powerful engine options in the 2022 Macan lineup than in the 2021 versions. For the 2022 model year, the Macan S and Macan GTS will be featured with a more powerful engine. The base Macan packs a 2.0-litre turbo 4-cylinder engine that churns out 261 hp and 295 lb-ft. of torque (400 Nm). The engine for the 2022 Macan S comes from the 2021 Macan GTS, a twin-turbocharged 2.9-litre V6 with 375 hp and 383 lb-ft. of torque (519 Nm).
The GTS, the current top-of-the-line Macan, uses the same engine but the power levels are amped to 434 hp and 406 lb-ft. of torque (546 Nm). The Macan Turbo model has been dropped from the lineup.
