Automobile designer Pratap Bose is all set to join the M&M group to head the newly formed division known as Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) in the west midlands, UK. Bose who started his journey with Tata back in 2007 was leading the Design team in 2011. He was promoted to vice president of global design in 2019.
This move has been seen as critical at this time because it will help Mahindra in growth in areas like Electric vehicles. Incidentally, Mahindra announced the set up of ‘M.A.D.E’ in the UK which is part of the company’s global design network which includes Mahindra design studio in Mumbai and Pininfarina design in Turin, Italy.
The Coventry region in the UK is a powerhouse of automotive design and M.A.D.E will contribute and leverage skills, experience, and expertise to this network of design talent. It is going to support creating high skilled design roles, drawing from Coventry university and other design colleges in Europe. M.A.D.E will be operational as of July 1st 2021.

Bose is known to have driven the design language in Tata motors by refreshing the car portfolio. This included models like Tata Nexon, the premium hatchback Altroz, Harrier SUV. This evolution in design has become more aspiration for the young buyers say some experts. This success has led him to be nominated for the 2021 World car person of the year award.
