Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has confirmed the launch of the new 2021 Range Rover Velar. The delivery of the car has started immediately, with a Price tag of Rs. 79.87 lakh ex-showroom. The Velar will be made available only in R-Dynamic S trim with 2 powertrain options. JLR continues to claim that Velar is one of the most technologically advanced SUVs in the world.
Range Rover Velar 2021: What Has Changed?
Velar has been introduced with an unmistakable Range Rover upright stance with its own unique elements to boast. The R-Dynamic trim definitely seeks to grab eyeballs with burnished copper bumper accents, bonnet vents and side vents. The ride quality has been improved with the inclusion of a new air suspension.
The other major update will be the introduction of a more powerful diesel engine. The new 2.0L 4-cylinder unit produces 204bhp with the new mild-hybrid technology, which is 24bhp more than the previous engine. The petrol motor is the same 2.0L turbocharged unit seen in the predecessor. It makes a peak power of 250bhp and a peak torque of 365nm. The transmission option is an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
The Velar provides a Torque on-demand All Wheel Drive (AWD) system, Terrain Response 2 and other driver assistance features. Inside the cabin, it comes equipped with JLR’s latest Pivi Pro 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, active road cancellation and PM 2.5 filter for the cabin air ionisation system, 360-degree camera and more.
