Dacia Duster or known as Renault Duster in some markets has been given a facelift and is teased ahead of its launch in 2022. We had seen both the parent company Renault and Dacia change their logos a few weeks back. The Dacia showcased their new logo with the Bigster concept car and now we are seeing it on the new Duster. According to Dacia, the new logo reflects the brand’s “ Simplistic and artful mindset “and also “gives the impression of robustness and stability”.

Coming to the design aspect of the new Duster, it gets the new headlight design with Y-shaped DRL’s and LED turn indicators. These new Y-shaped lights will be carried behind the car, the taillights are also Y-shaped now.  The new chrome grille in the front marks the new SUV from the existing model. To cut the CO2 emissions the company has worked on new aero-optimised 15 and 16-inch wheels, a new spoiler design, a new bearing and tyres for improved efficiency.

The interiors will receive a redesigned centre console, new materials are used inside the cabin, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and few other features. The engine options are still not clear, but we can expect the company to give it multiple petrol and diesel engine options depending on the market.

Renault Duster In India

Currently, Renault still sells the first generation Duster in India but other international markets have received the second generation Duster. This model will get a mid-life facelift next year followed by a new generation by 2024. Renault’s focus for India right now is the CMF modular platform based Models, Kiger, Kwid and the Triber. The compact SUV segment is hot right now with Hyundai Creta, Kia Selto and Tata Harrier, but there is no response from Renault. They have not made an official statement on the launch of the new facelifted Duster for India.
