For quite a while now, Renault – the french carmaker, has been plotting to enter the EV game in the Indian market. While it still maintains exclusivity in product plans, Renault has hinted that Megane E-Tech could be the first EV of its kind. This model of Renault is the first to be based on the RNM (Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi) Alliance’s CMF-EV platform that goes with AWD and 2WD systems.
The well-devised architecture of the Renault E-Tech has a compartment for the battery pack on the floor that enables the lower arrangement of seats. It also allows cars to have a long wheelbase and arguably short overhangs.
