The car giant Volkswagen’s new entries to India are the Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. Skoda Kushaq is set to come out in May, the latter is expected to come mid of this year. They are the first products of the Volkswagen India 2.0 project. Both cars are based on Volkswagen’s India-specific MQB-AO IN platform. 

According to the latest report, Both Kushaq and Taigun are going to feature a new play infotainment system. Developed jointly by Volkswagen Brazil and Visteon, a company that focuses on cockpit electronics. The infotainment system is a 10.1-inch touchscreen that has a 1540×720 pixel resolution. The system includes downloaded applications globally. For India, it will have apps like among others. 

You get a split-screen setup and works as a rearview camera monitor. The user experience is further enhanced by the addition of personal profiles, offering a long list of personalization options. It features in-car Wi-Fi, you can also live-stream music with a SIM bases internet connection (likely an eSIM). The car also features valet mode, which protects all personal information in the car via a password.

The touchscreen infotainment, in-car connectivity is starting to become a common feature these days. It also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto connectivity. The cars have the longest wheelbase among other segment competitors. Both the Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Renault Duster.
