The much-awaited Skoda Rapid succession was spied on and spotted. Car enthusiasts cannot wait to see what the car has to offer but we have details!
The same is said to launch later this year and is expected to have a price range of ₹9 to Rs ₹14.5 lakhs.
It will offer two petrol engines 1-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with power and torque of 115Ps and 178Nm, and 150Ps and 250Nm respectively along with a transmission of 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed DSG options.
The new successor is said to be called ‘Slavia’ and from the spy shots, we see the car has a Kushaq resemblance especially the new car’s interiors. (insert picture)
The vehicle will be based on the MQB-A0 IN platform on which the new Rapi’s successor will be based and Skoda’s Kushaq is the first model to be based on the same platform. The exterior comes with LED headlamps, fog lamps, tail lamps and alloy wheels.
Talking about the interiors, the interior comes with a dual-tone interior, two-spoke steering wheel, as offered on all Skoda cars.
The new Skoda’s dashboard looks similar to the Kushaq as well, and comes with a touchscreen infotainment system, with Air conditioning vents placed below the system and climate controls.
On a closer note, it has a digital instrument cluster that is also similar to the one from Kushaq. Other features include smart car connectivity, a sunroof and six airbags.
The upcoming sedan will also be longer than the present Skoda Rapid and will have a 2651mm similar to the wheelbase from Kushaq. The new car however does have a bold design and can be distinguished from the sub-compact SUV.
Seems like the new model of Skoda is largely inspired by Kushaq. More details of the same are yet to be revealed.
