Tata Altroz DCA launched at Rs. 8.10 lakh

Tata Motors is finally introducing its latest, i.e, the Tata Altroz DCA variant. The model is starting at a price of Rs. 8.10 lakh. It will be available in the market in seven variants, They are XMA+, XTA, XZA, XZA+, XZA (O), XTA Dark and XZA+ Dark. 

The new Altroz DCA model will also get to choose from a bunch of colour options. A new colour called Opera Blue has been added to the palette. Other colours include Arcade Grey, Avenue White, Downtown Red, Harbour Blue and a Dark range will be introduced for this Altroz variant.

The new Altroz DCA will continue to offer a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 7-inch screen instrument cluster as well. The infotainment system supports both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Other features are the same as the manual counterpart. These include keyless entry with start-stop, automatic climate control, a 1.5 litre cooled glove box, rain-sensing wipers, and a new feature called Auto Park lock.

Engine and Transmission

The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine in the Altroz DCA is paired with a new 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It comes with a shift by wire technology and wet clutch active cooling technology for less friction between clutch plates. This helps in giving a power of 86 hp and a torque of 113 Nm. Altroz’s DCA variant is over 20 kg heavier than its manual counterpart. Tata Motors tuned the gearbox specifically for Indian roads and climate conditions. The model also comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and its electric version is expected to launch soon.
