Tata Motors has introduced the Punch Kaziranga Edition and will conduct its reveal in the form of an auction at the IPL this year. It is labelled after the Kaziranga National park in Assam, and the proceeds from the auction will help the conservation of the park. The Punch is available in four variants, including Pure, Adventure, Creative and Accomplished. 

Tata Punch Kaziranga: Prices and bidding

The prices for the Tata Punch Kaziranga are not confirmed as of yet. The regular version of the SUV is priced between ₹5.64 lakh to ₹8.98 lakh. This exemplary SUV will be put up to be auctioned majorly for the fans. The highest and most successful bidder gets to take this SUV home, and the proceeds from this benefit will profit the conservation efforts at Kaziranga. 

Tata Punch Kaziranga: Performance                                             

The Tata Punch Kaziranga is powered by the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This is the same engine in the regular model. This engine can produce 85 bhp at 6,000 RPM with a torque of 113 Nm at 3,300 RPM. The AMT version comes with a Traction Pro Mode which helps on surfaces with low traction and has cruise control. The Punch offers two driving modes called the Eco and the City. But it is unsure as to whether the new model will come with automatic or manual transmission. 

Exterior, Interior and Safety

Tata Punch KazirangaOn the outside, the Tata Punch is a five-door SUV that has new automatic headlights and a boot space of 366 litres. It is at a height of 1,615 mm and its width is 1,742 mm and furthermore a ground clearance of 187 mm.

On its interior, it has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Moreover, it has a semi-digital console, climate and cruise control.

The Punch is expected to come with dual airbags, a rear parking camera and sensors for additional safety. This model has a five-star Global NCAP safety rating and is one of the safest cars to be made. 

In regards to the Tata Punch, the micro SUV became one of their best selling vehicles and comes just below the Tata Nexon. The Tata Punch has rivals including Maruti Ignis, Nissan Magnite, KUV100, and Renault Kiger.
