Small SUVs are likely to cost between Rs 4.99 and Rs 8.29. The new Tata Punch will compete with other subcompact SUVs in this price range, including the B-segment hatchback, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and the upcoming Citroen C3.
Dimension and Specs
Tata Punch will feature a 2,450mm wheelbase, according to the company. 3,840 mm in length, 1,800 mm in breadth, and 1,635 mm in height. The conceptual dimensions are analogous to these dimensions. The width, however, will be lowered by 22 mm. In terms of proportions, the new model falls in between Tiago and Nexon.
On the day of the announcement, official bookings for the new SUV will open. Pre-orders for token sums ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 21,000 have already begun to be accepted by Tata dealers. It could come with either a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder normally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. A naturally aspirated engine can produce 86 horsepower and 115 pound-feet of torque, while a turbocharged engine may deliver close to 100 horsepower. 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions are possible options.
The Tata Punch will be the second vehicle to be built on the ALFA-ARC modular platform, which already supports the Altroz hatchback. The new model adopts Tata’s IMPACT 2.0 design language, which has already been seen on the company’s most recent vehicles. Tata Motors has already started delivering new Punches to dealers.
