Tesla Model 3 Found Testing For A Possible Launch In India

Tesla Model 3 India testing

With over 439.0000 units sold last year, Tesla Model 3 is the most sold EV in the world. When Tesla decides to start selling its vehicles in India, the Model 3, the most affordable electric car in the company’s lineup, could be the first.

The Tesla Model 3 launch in India may appear imminent, as the California-based electric vehicle manufacturer has been seen testing the vehicle on Indian roads several times recently. In the most recent spy shots, two or more Model 3 cars with the Maharashtra recording plate were found camouflaged on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway this week.

Tesla has yet to formally enter the Indian electric vehicle market, despite registering as Tesla India Motors in Karnataka. It is reportedly in talks to open a research and development center in Bengaluru. Tesla is expected to open its first facility in India in either Kerala or Maharashtra, according to reports.

Expected Pricing

As per the latest reports, Tesla will launch the Model 3 electric car in India by the end of this year, making it the most affordable EV in the company’s lineup. According to some reports, the company will soon begin taking reservations for the car in India.
