The All-New 2022 Toyota Glanza Launched

We all witnessed the 2022 Maruti Baleno launch on the 23rd of February. Being a rebadged version of the Baleno, Toyota didn’t wait much longer to update the Glanza. You can now book the 2022 Toyota Glanza with a starting price tag of Rs. 6.39 lakh. Toyota has tried to differentiate both hatchbacks by implementing a different front end with additional Toyota i-Connect features. So how different is the 2022 Glanza compared to its counterpart? The 2022 Glanza price in India starts from Rs 6.39 lakh, which is Rs 4,000/- more than the Baleno. The next two ‘S’ trims are Rs 10,000/- more, the ‘G’ trims are Rs 15,000/- more and the ‘V’ trims are Rs 20,000/- more than the Respective Baleno trims.

Engine and Transmission

Under the hood, it gets the same dual jet 1.2-litre K12N petrol engine in the Baleno. The engine pushes 90 hp and 113 Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 5-speed gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. The Glanza is claimed to provide 22.9 km for every litre of fuel.

2022 Toyota Glanza Exterior

The biggest change the Glanza gets compared to Baleno is the front end of the car. Toyota no more sells it by just rebadging it. The front grille looks very similar to the recently launched Camry and other Toyota models globally. Unlike the Baleno, the air dam in the bumper gets a black cladding around it. The dimension and other exterior aspects of both cars are the same.

Toyota has not disturbed the interiors. They sell the Glanza with the same interior as the Baleno. The infotainment system, the segment-first HUD, flat-bottom steering etc are exactly the same.
