The first-generation Mahindra XUV500 was released in September 2011 with a starting price of Rs 10.8 lakh. They launched the XUV700 in August 2021, with a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakhs. The XUV700 is the next generation of the XUV500. XUV had become an instant hit at the time. The same is expected of the new generation XUV700, as evidenced by the pricing. Despite the fact that official bookings have yet to open, a few dealers have begun accepting XUV700 reservations on an unofficial basis. The start of XUV700 bookings has yet to be announced by Mahindra.

It all starts with a brand new logo that reads “Twin Peaks.” The company’s Sport Utility Vehicle line will use this new logo exclusively. The old logo will continue to be used on commercial vehicles and farm equipment.
The new Mahindra XUV700 will feature a number of firsts, some of which will be the first of their kind in India. It has the largest sunroof in its class. It’s dubbed SkyRoof by Mahindra. It gets new alloy wheels and flush door handles.
But the most exciting news is that Mahindra has revealed AdrenoX, Alexa-based voice commands, and a new infotainment system for the upcoming XUV700 with integrated Alexa AI. This seamless Alexa integration will provide hands-free access to music and news, as well as navigation, traffic alerts, and smart home control, and will include over 30,000 Alexa Skills, including Shayari, Audible Suno, and others.
Users will be able to control vehicle functions such as opening and closing the sky roof and windows, listen to audiobooks, and manage climate settings via voice control, even when the vehicle is not connected to the internet.
Apart from all of these features, having Alexa onboard the new Mahindra XUV700 means a safer drive because it has a hands-free feature that allows the driver to keep their hands firmly on the steering wheel.
Integration Of Alexa
Drivers frequently lose internet connectivity while driving through densely populated urban areas or remote areas, as well as in tunnels and parked garages. By switching to a USB or Bluetooth-connected smartphone, the Mahindra XUV700 provides off-line functions for commands, allowing continued access to various functions.
Customers can use Mahindra Skill for Alexa to get vital vehicle information, such as fuel capacity, tyre pressure, and locking and unlocking car doors, even while at home. They have control over the cabin’s temperature, among other things.
This custom voice-activated feature is available on all Alexa-enabled devices, such as Echo smart speakers, FireTV, and the Alexa app on mobile phones.
The Alexa Auto Software Development Kit (SDK) was used in the development of the Mahindra XUV700, which improves functionality and reduces friction while also improving the custom voice-first experience for customers. Over-the-air updates from Alexa Auto SDK will bring new features and capabilities to the new XUV700.
