MG is back with another beast as what the report suggests. MG launched the Hector Shine variant in India, which is priced at Rs.14.52 lakhs. It is a middle-class variant of the Hector series, between the Hector Super and Smart variants. Therefore, MG not only expands the range of Hector by providing customers with more choices, but also makes the automatic Hector more affordable than before by providing the Shine variant with a CVT gasoline automatic CVT variant.

Transmission

So far, Hector is only equipped with automatic transmissions in Smart and Topend Sharp variants. But it seems that the growing demand for automatic transmissions has prompted the British automaker to offer lower model automatic transmission options. In addition to the automatic transmission, the Hector Shine variant also offers more functions than the Super version.

Features

The MG Hector Shine variant is equipped with features such as a 10.4-inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, single-door sunroof, start/stop button, keyless entry, electric parking brake, front parking sensor, electronic stability program, traction control, grade Control, all four disc brakes, reversing camera, rear parking sensor, rear window heating, LED headlights with daytime running lights, aluminum rims, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat etc

Hector Engine options

MG Hector Shine can be equipped with a 1.5-litre gasoline or 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. The gas engine has 141 bhp and 250 Nm, you can choose between a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic CVT transmission. But the diesel output power is 168 bhp and 350 Nm. The diesel MG Hector Shine is only equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
