Toyota Hilux Design
On close observation, you may notice Innova Crysta and Fortuner’s design elements in the Toyota Hilux. The front fascia is a muscular structure. The trapezoidal grille with chrome surround is installed. The headlights seem identical to the Crysta’s. The India-spec model appears to include a skid plate with silver inlays.
While the side profile is unique in its own way, it shows traces of the Fortuner. The Hilux boasts wide wheel arches with black plastic mouldings, maintaining the brawny theme. The truck sits on 18-inch alloy wheels. The door handles are covered in chrome.
The Toyota Hilux has a length of 5,325 mm, a width of 1,825 mm, and a height of 1,815 mm. The wheelbase measures 3,085 mm while the curb weight is around 2,910 kg (gross weight).
Interior and Features
As it’s a double-cab type, the Hilux can comfortably accommodate five passengers. An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and dual-zone automatic climate control are accessible in the Hilux. The speedometer and tachometer have twin analogue dials in the instrument cluster. However, between the two dials, there is a small multi-information digital display.
Moreover, you can also find front parking sensors, two drive modes (eco and power), a tyre-angle indicator, an electronic differential lock, & active power control.
The Toyota Hilux is based on the same IMV platform as the Fortuner. A 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine powers the Toyota Hilux in India. This engine produces 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque for the automatic variant. With a manual gearbox, this number drops to 420 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
The Hilux has an 80-litre fuel tank. The mileage figures have not yet been confirmed by ARAI. It has double-wishbone suspension in the front and leaf springs in the back. At the front, vented disc brakes handle braking duties, while the rear is equipped with drum brakes.
The Toyota Hilux is one of the world’s greatest SUVs today. It’s well-known for its dependability and incredible endurance. For individuals seeking a little adventure with their friends and family, the Toyota Hilux will be the ideal leisure car.
