Automobile manufacturers have unveiled their Vehicle sales figures for the month of November 2021. The ongoing chip shortage has played a significant role in the production and delivery of cars globally. Automotive manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai saw a significant fall in their monthly sales. However, Tata, Mahindra reported positive sales growth.

Vehicle sales figures: Tata Motors

Tata Motors saw a 34% jump in November sales figure when compared to the previous year. The homegrown manufacturer successfully sold 28,027 vehicles in November. While Tata sold 21,228 cars in November 2020. This created a YOY sales growth of 32%. Another milestone covered by tata was, selling 1,751 electric vehicles, this was 324% higher when compared to the same period the previous year.

Vehicle sales figures: Mahindra

Mahindra XUV 700 is selling out like hotcakes. The New SUV from the homegrown automaker has made a huge impact on the November sales figures. The company sold 19,458 cars this November, the sales in the same period last year were 18,212 units. Mahindra reported YoY growth of 6.84 percentage. Bolero Neo and Scorpio were other vehicles that saw positive responses from the buyers.


Toyota had a year-on-year sales growth of 52.83% in November 2021. The manufacturer successfully sold 13,033 units in November. The sales figure in November 2020 was 8,508 units. The joint venture with Maruti Suzuki has been showing positive results. The Upcoming SUV and Truck will certainly increase the sales for the Automaker.


Nissan was another manufacturer that saw a massive increase in their sales figures. In fact, Nissan reported a YOY growth of 160 percentage. 2,651 cars were sold by Nissan in the month of November 2021. The Magnite has been a successful product. The sales report shows that 30,000 units were sold in 11 months.

Maruti Suzuki

Maruthi is always on top of the Sales chart. However last month the automaker saw a huge decline in its YOY sales rate. Maruti Suzuki only sold 1,39,184 vehicles in November, when compared to 1,53,223 sold last year. the manufacturer incurred a decline of 9 percent in its sales. Moreover, Maruti exported 21,393 units of cars in November 2021 while only 9,004 units were exported in the same month last year. 


Honda sold 5,457 vehicles in November 2021. These sales figures were way below the 9,990 units sold in the previous year. The Manufacturer reported a sales decline of 45.38 percent in the Indian Market. However, the Automaker Exported 1,447 cars in the previous month.


Hyundai has always been on top of the sales chart. Although in the month of November 2021, the automaker saw a 24.18 percent decline in YOY sales figures. The company sold 37,001 cars in November 2021 . In the previous year, the Automaker has sold 48,800 units.
