The German automaker Volkswagen is all set to break cover for its new facelifted Tiguan AllSpace. It has been teased before its debut on May 12, 2021, which provided a glimpse of the side and rear profile of the SUV. It will receive a minor change in terms of design and features from the present Tiguan.  

Volkswagen Tiguan Design 

The Tiguan AllSpace will get a similar appearance as the facelifted Tiguan. It gets a slightly tweaked Matrix LED headlamp design, new front grille, bumpers on both ends are reprofiled, a new set of alloy wheels, a new tail lamp design. 

The changes are focused more on the inside, it gets a new restyled dashboard which houses a new infotainment system. It gets upgrades like wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link, connected tech based on an in-built e-sim. It also gets features like ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, 3-zone climate control, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensor, ESC and tyre pressure monitor. 

Engine details

The engine option will remain the same, it will continue with the 2.0L turbo petrol engine which offers 188 bhp and 320nm of torque. It comes in only one gearbox option, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission coupled with an all-wheel-drive system. 

Conclusion 

The all-new Taigun midsize SUV and the standard Tiguan facelift will come to India initially. The present Tiguan AllSpace will be sold in India for now, which was launched in March last year. It is imported to India as a CBU (completely built unit) and there are no updates on when the updated three-row SUV comes to India.
