Toyota’s new generation 2022 Glanza hatchback was launched in India yesterday. The Glanza is Toyota’s entry-level offering and it was the first product to arrive under the partnership of Maruti Suzuki and Toyota. The new Glanza is a revamped version of the new Maruti Baleno.
Toyota’s new Glanza can be booked online or via dealerships by giving a token amount of Rs. 21,000. The price for the latest Glanza starts at Rs. 6.39 lakh. Below are some main talking points of the new Glanza that will help it have an edge over its rivals.
1. HUD (Head-up Display)
The 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with the head-up display of the new Toyota Glanza model is carried over from the all-new Maruti Baleno. The display projects a plethora of features and information on its display. It can show us things like speed, navigation, weather, etc. This will help the driver to focus on the road more than the system.
2. Toyota Glanza Safety
The new Glanza hatchback comes with a number of safety features and precautions taken. The car has 6 airbags, as opposed to two in certain models. There is an abundance in the number of airbags, and the safety of each member in the car is ensured. It also has other features like cruise control, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ABS with EBD and more.
3. Toyota Glanza Features
The new Toyota Glanza has more than 45 added features and it includes a 360-degree camera, Hey Toyota voice assistance and Find My Car. The 360-degree camera in the Glanza provides a proper view of the area surrounding the car, and it is shown as one image. The Hey Toyota voice assistant helps the driver have a hands-free experience while driving as most of the commands can be recognized by the system.
Another connected-car feature is the Find My Car feature borrowed from Maruti. The user can lock/unlock the car or find the car in a crowded area through an app installed on a smartphone or smartwatch.
4. Toyota Glanza Mileage
The amount of Mileage that can be retrieved from the Petrol Manual version of the Glanza comes to around 22.35 kmpl. Furthermore, the automatic version of the same gives a good mileage of 22.94 kmpl. The standard version of the Glanza had a mileage of 19.6 kmpl and 23.9 kmpl, which is lesser in comparison to the new model. The new hatchback also has an idle start-stop button, which helps in saving fuel. This in turn also helps the car get an improved mileage.
The new-gen Toyota Glanza is a very well awaited model and with the number of features the car has, it will be a very smooth ride.
